I was reading on another site a comment from a man who drives a pick up truck in Philly. He claims that he picks up all those chairs he sees “guarding” parking spots and throws them in his truck. He has a yard sale every Spring and sells them all he says. He explained that those parking space chairs are illegal and its a pet peeve of his. It struck me as funny but I understand people worked hard to shovel that spot out so they think is their spot because of the effort but it is a public street and sorry chair people its not yours!

Thanks for the coverage of the civics. I am gratified to see that the local civics are showing support for one another. This type of unification is the best way to make ourselves heard, to demonstrate that we decide the issues that are important to us, not the city, or our representatives or people outside of our borders. This coverage is so important to folks who can’t get to every meeting but want to participate in the discussion.

IDK who put up that war monument but I remember seeing members from the Frankford Optimists Club taking care of it before. I believe one of them lived near Northwood Park. Russ Cornell was his name.
