  • Love Your Park Day at Overington Park

    Description – PAWS will be there for our second Mini Veterinarian Clinc ($15 for vaccinations, coupons etc) so Bring you Dogs or Cats, Fall Cleanup, Our annual “Tropical Bulb Training” as we dig up the Canna bulbs and prep them for storage for next Spring, Our annual “Put Your Garden to Bed Training” for our perennial flower beds, Tasty Fall Refreshments for Volunteers
  • St. Joachim Alumni Association Installation Mass

    Description – The Saint Joachim Alumni Association is celebrating its installation with a Mass on Saturday November 12, at 4:30pm. The mass will be held at St. Joachim Church located at 1527 Church Street. After Mass there will be a gathering in the Parish Hall to celebrate and officially register Alumni. Light Refreshments will be served. Please inform other Alumni and friends of the Parish.
  • Rain Barrel Workshop

    Description – Speakers: Aaron Slater, Energy Coordinating Agency Julie Slavet, Exec Director, Tookany/Tacony All who attend will be able to apply for a free rain barrel which will be manufactured, delivered, and installed for free by the folks at ECA (Energy Coordinating Agency) who are partnered with PWD for this Green.

  • Day of Service and Flag Raising Ceremony

    Description – On November 18, 2011, in collaboration with the Honeywell Corporation, and Post 224, The Frankford Parks group will be hosting a day of service and flag raising ceremony at Wilmot Park (1801 Meadow Street) from 10am until 12pm. We would also like to include some of the JROTC students from Frankford High School for the service event and the flag raising ceremony. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get the event done on Veteran’s Day, however, we would hope that in the future, our park would be the home for an Annual Frankford Veteran’s Day Flag Raising Ceremony. I hope that you all will join us in the park to recognize our veterans!
