Pictures from the Opening of Frankford’s New Computer Lab!

In case you missed it, the Frankford CDC along with PhillyRising & Temple University opened a computer lab yesterday afternoon at the CDC’s offices – 4900 Griscom Street. And the Mayor came out to celebrate with us! We at the CDC are so excited to be able to bring this resource to our community – for financial aid and college applications, resume building and job searches, small business startups (advertising, pr, business plan development, social networking and more), homework, online bill paying, and more.

Public hours are: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00a to 3:00p, and Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00a to 7:00p. Or you can call 215-743-6580 to make an appointment.

Enjoy the pictures below – of the computer lab itself and our ribbon cutting with the Mayor! Thank you to everyone who came out, and a very special thanks to the PhillyRising Team, Temple University, and, of course, Mayor Nutter.

The calm before the storm! The Mayor's podium set up about two hours before our press conference.

PhillyRising's Manny Citron, Temple University's Bill McMaster, Frankford CDC Board Members, Frankford Business owner Harry Patel, Frankford CDC Managing Director Tracy O'Drain, Mayor Nutter, and Managing Director Richard Negrin speak to the press

We were in the process of getting the computer lab organized. Doesn't look too messy, huh?
