Cesar Viveros Herrera, MURAL ARTS PROGRAM
Peter Woodall, HIDDEN CITY

The Historical Society of Frankford continues its mission to preserve and promote the history of Frankford and Northeast Philadelphia as it works cooperatively with the City’s Mural Arts Program and Hidden City Philadelphia to engage residents with this area’s history.   Meet Cesar Viveros Herrera – the Mural Arts artist who has been working with the Frankford community to create several extraordinary murals representing various eras in Frankford’s development. Also hear from Peter Woodall, of Hidden City Philadelphia, who will discuss the 2013 Hidden City Festival’s efforts to engage the public with some of Philadelphia’s most remarkable spaces – which have been animated by artist projects that ask you not only to look, but also to participate. As the Historical Society of Frankford is participating this year – with sound artists Data Garden/King Britt – you will have an opportunity to view this very special installation following the program.

Refreshments served. Members free; Others $5.00
