Making Frankford a Better Place to Live

There  are a lot of meetings every month in Frankford, what do they all do?  Here is a list.

  • Frankford Civic Association is lead by Pete Specos.  It meets at St. Marks Church at 4442 Frankford Avenue on the first Monday of every month at 7 PM.  Use the side door up the stairway off the parking lot.  It deals with quality of life issues and helping people find out where to go to solve problems.
  • Frankford NAC (Neighborhood Advisory Council) Zoning board is lead by Doug Bryant.  It meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 PM at the Second Baptist Church of Frankford at 1801 Meadow Street.  It deals with zoning variances that are required under certain circumstances when an owner wants to change the use of a property.  If you live in a single family neighborhood and one of your neighbors wants to make his house into a duplex, he needs a variance.  The neighborhood has to be notified and this meeting is your opportunity to voice your approval or opposition.
  • Northwood Civic Association is lead by Joe Krause.  It meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7 PM at St. James Lutheran Church at Castor Ave. and Pratt St.  It deals with quality of life issues and helping people find out where to go to solve problems.
  • 15th District PSA1 is lead by Lt. Duane Gordon.  It meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 7 PM at Aria Hospital in the second floor cafeteria.  This is your opportunity to talk to the police about any issues you may have.

All of these meetings are good opportunities to find out what is going on in Frankford and to network with people in the community who are getting things done.
