Frankford Civic July Meeting

President Pete Specos returned to the Civic for the first time since his illness and lead the meeting on July 7th.

There were block party discussions about who can have them, why are some denied and that there are some having them without permits.  Some residents organize a block party and then people on the block do not move their cars.  Can they be ticketed.  There is a process but it required another permit and fee.

We need to follow up with SEPTA regarding the need for them to cooperate in keeping the area around the El stops clean.  They do it in other neighborhoods but not in Frankford.

Residents on Trenton Avenue had a block party and got cooperation from Rep. Dawkins office to paint the wall on the street that day.  Home depot donated the paint.

The next meeting of the Frankford Civic Association will be held on August 4th at 7 PM at St. Mark’s Church at 4442 Frankford Avenue.
