Historical Society Programs Fred Prescott on Cartography

Following the first program of the Fall season by Pat Smiley on the Step into History Tours (running on the first Sunday of each month), this month’s program is on Wednesday, October 12th at 7:30 PM (note the change in schedule):

Cartography Evolved Technology

Fred Prescott’s career as a cartographer included five years of service with the Aero Space Corporation of Philadelphia.  He will discuss some of his most interesting and challenging projects including development of highly classified military maps and the tax map of Orange County, New York and laying out lunar landing strips for NASA.

After the Q&A refreshments will be available.  Members free, visitors $5.
