Gazette Book Review: My American Odyssey

In the midst of working on a book about veterans and soldiers, I got an email about a book about a soldier.  The story is about a guy, Don Byers, from Frankford, who went into the Army in World War II.

Edited by his grandson, Jim Byers, the story was compiled from letters and diary writings left by Don Byers.  Grandson Jim did a lot of additional research and assembled the story into a great narrative.  its a very personal account, from the point of view of the average soldier and the experience of war.

It is a tribute to his grandfather but at the same time a tribute to all soldiers and a good story.

It’s available on Amazon.com for $12.50 in book form or $8.00 as a Kindle version.  You can see it at this link.
