I guess I can’t let this day pass without noting that today is our third anniversary. We made the first post to the Frankford Gazette three years ago today. It has been an interesting experience doing this. When we started, there was no grand plan.
The idea was to balance all of the negative press that Frankford got with some of the positive things that are going on. That remains our purpose and we continue to try to figure out how best to do that.
We have evolved from posting links to other stories people’s stories to going out and capturing our own. We have started doing some video and will continue to develop that angle. We are going to try to do some in depth reports on people in Frankford who are below the radar but a making a difference.
From the start, this has been a team effort. I make most of the posts because I have more time to work at it. However, We would not be in business if my son Jim had not said I should get off my butt and do something with my time. He continues to do the technical things and makes some of the most interesting posts that we have done. My wife Pat has 30 plus years of experience in education and has taken over our education coverage. Her writing talent puts me to shame.

- Thanks to the folks in other areas who read what is going on here to see if the time is right to try Frankford out in person.
- Thanks to all the people of Frankford who are working so hard to make this the place it will become in a few years. When history is written, they will say you helped turn it around.
Congratulations! I am really glad that Frankford has its own dedicated news source, and that members of our community pay attention to it. I appreciate your dedication, attending and reporting on countless after-hours meetings. Thanks for your hard work.
The site has been a great resource for the Frankford community. It offers the community an opportunity to share and voice what is important in the lives of people who live here. Thank you for your good work.
