    Description – Begin the New Year by learning faster and better ways to achieve your job and career goals! Job seekers are invited to attend a free workshop on Effective Job Search Strategies. Evelyn Cunningham of JEVS Human Services will present techniques for developing short and long term career plans and finding a job. During the second half of the workshop, participants will have a chance to explore The Career Gateway, JEVS online job and career resource.     Description – Mayor Michael A. Nutter and the PhillyRising Collaborative will open a new computer center at Frankford CDC. The computer center will be open to the public and is scheduled to host a free FAFSA and tax filing workshop on February 26, 2012.

  • Meet Your Elected Official Night

    Description – This event provides an opportunity for our parents to meet local legislators. We already have a confirmation from Rep. Tony Payton and are waiting confirmation from other officials for the area. This event will also feature a photo exhibit by our older children themed “What would you do to change your community?”, the children will present this to the legislators in attendance.
  • 26th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast Celebration

    Description – The Breakfast Celebration is a Youth event focused around Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the goals and aspirations of the Civil Rights movements with included equitable work, pay, peaceable assembly and desegregation. The Frankford Coalition of Neighbors is a non-profit organization working to improve relations among the diverse economic, racial and ethnic groups in Frankford, while promoting volunteerism and community coalition building.
