Northeast EPIC Stakeholder Meeting

Stakeholders,

Thank you to everyone who attended our last stakeholder meeting.  For those of you who could not attend, please find the meeting minutes attached.  I would also like to thank everyone who attend and/or volunteered for our 2012 Northeast EPIC Summit last month.   We had a wonderful turnout and an awesome panel of speakers.

Our next EPIC Stakeholder meeting will be held on Thursday, April 26th at SANKOFA FREEDOM ACADEMY CHARTER SCHOOL (4256 Paul Street) from 5:30 – 6:30pm.  Unfortunately our regular meeting space at Aria Hospital is not available this month so we will be meeting at Sankofa.  If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.  Also, if you know of anyone else who planned on coming but is not currently on our listserv please pass along this information.

Love Your Park, Saturday, May 12th and Saturday May 19th

We had a great turnout on Saturday, April 14th for the 5th Annual Philly Spring cleanup at Overington Park and at Wilmot and Hedge Street Park.  The ladies from the Frankford Garden Club and other volunteers did an excellent job planting flowers, trees, and helping to get a community garden started on a vacant lot at Wilmot and Tackawanna Streets.  However, we have to “keep up the sweep up” .  The Frankford Parks Group, The Overington Parks Group and the Frankford Garden club will be out trying to beautify our neighborhood once again for the Annual Love Your Park Event.
