Join local birder Tony Croasdale as he displays and describes the Society’s collection of Victorian Taxidermy “Birds Under Glass” and his lifetime of birding adventures here in Northeast Philadelphia. All are also invited to join Tony Croasdale for a Bird Walk on Saturday, October 12th (rain date Sunday, October 13th) at 9:00am on the 100 acre campus of Friends Hospital (4641 Roosevelt Blvd). View some of the Society’s Library and Museum collections of fire fighting artifacts from Frankford’s long-gone volunteer fire companies (first in 1793). Fire historian Jack Wright will introduce the Fireman’s Hall Museum collections, located in a 1902 firehouse at 2nd/Arch.
