Balboa Catering Moving to Frankford

Frankford Welcomes Balboa Catering

Alex and Jocelyn Garfinkel are moving their business, Balboa Catering, to 4345 Orchard Street in the American Silk Building in Frankford.  The building has undergone major renovations to accommodate seating for 60, with plenty of off-street parking and is set to continue their tradition of fine dining.

Executive Chef Alex Garfinkel is a graduate of the Restaurant School at Walnut Hill and has spent the last decade honing his craft at various eateries including Le Bec Fin, Lacroix, Morimoto, and Amada.

Jocelyn Garfinkel attended the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco and worked in some of Manhattan’s best restaurants such as Tribeca Grill and Park Ave Café.  However, she realized her true calling was in food, but not cooking and now manages the front of the house in the catering operation.

In addition to their catering, Balboa has become well known for their Supper Clubs, which are pop up dinners held at various locations in the area.
