City Year Team Leads Legacy Project with Students and Staff from Frankford High School and Surrounding Community
Philadelphia, PA – On Saturday May 3rd, City Year, in partnership with the Northeast Frankford Boys & Girls Club and the Frankford High School Student Board, will lead a day-long community service project. The day will take place at the Northeast Frankford Boys & Girls Club, which has been serving the community and its youth for sixty years. On Saturday, over 85 volunteers will serve the club by cleaning and painting the facility, planting a garden, and creating 3 canvas murals.
The morning will begin with an opening program, which will highlight the importance of service and building communities. The project will begin at 9:00 and run until 12:30. Joining us in service will be the club’s Program Director Greg Taylor and the Unit Director Ninette Cooper. It will be a day of fun, service and excitement.
