The Frankford CDC is sad to see the summer go, and with it the end of our Second Saturday arts festival series. Our last event took place this past Saturday, from 12:00n to 3:00p, on the 4600 block of Frankford Avenue. We had some fabulous artists and performers participate, and Health Partners even sponsored Zumba lessons. Our fest featured everything from candles to photography to jewelry and handbags – and we have every intention of continuing to make these events even stronger in the coming years. We at the CDC believe in the power of the arts, and we hope our Second Saturdays will continue to grow and be an all around positive for our neighborhood. Which is why we need your input! Email Michelle Feldman at mfeldman.fcdc@gmail.com, or give her a call at 215-743-6580, to be a part of the planning process or just to offer your suggestions for how to do things better next year. In the meantime, see below for pictures from this weekend and video of the Zumba lessons! We bet you’ll be able to spot some folks you know!
