Another good piece of news for Frankford, the skate park at Carmella Playground has been rebuilt. It has needed some attention and tomorrow is the official grand opening. Stop by and have a look at what is available and meet some of the local stars of the sport.

Another major sporting event is coming to Whitehall at the Carmella Skate Park. On August 17th, the 3rd event in the Jam 2013 series will be held at Whitehall. Hundreds of people pass by that park at Torresdale and Wakeling every day, never realizing that those kids skating around in there are serious. We’ll be doing a followup on the big day of this event.
I’ll be the first one to tell you I don’t know much about this sport except that these kids are all over the place on these skate boards and they do impossible things with them. If you have never been to Whitehall, take a look at the video.
