There has been so much interest in the garden down at Foulkrod and Oxford, I’m posting the slide show that was put together by Pastor Gabe.

it’s pretty depressing that people from outside the neighborhood have to be the ones to do the clean up.
Well the church folks who lead the work are from the neighborhood but they did get the majority of the labor volunteers from other church groups outside. We’re going to have a video interview with pastor Gabe to see what he has to say.
I wonder if they would like to help out at the new FrankfordStlye site?
We have seen this many times. Good people with good intentions doing good work. Only to be destroyed by the people who live here.
I’ve walked past this garden many times and mourned its neglect. This work is welcome news because its a mighty task. I think if every person who lives here takes care of his/her own area, e.g., picking up litter on your block, it might set an example that we care about our community. And maybe folks won’t be so quick to trash the bright spots we have in Frankford.
We’re hoping to have a regular timeslot/day so that community knows for example that every 1st Sat. of the month we will be out there maintaining OUR (because it’s the entire community’s) garden. We appreciate all the positive responses that people have had about the work and we also appreciate people’s constructive criticism. Our hope is that in the future we could have an equal ratio of Frankford folks to “outsiders” helping us maintain this garden and other places as well. Together and united we can make a difference. God bless you all and please look out for our next sign regarding future work on the garden.
To the several persons that are under a false impression. This garden was developed by 2 members of the Frankford community and maintained by yet others of the same community. Yes, more volunteering is necessary, but this project is Frankford born and raised. Please be better informed before speaking er writing. Thank you Tom and Hazel Hummell and Roy. Now you have help, and we are all very grateful. Let us not throw stones. A little understanding goes a long way.
TOGETHER WE ALL CAN RECLAIM THE BEAUTY THAT IS FRANKFORD!!
THANKS EVER SO MUCH GABE FOR SPEARHEADING, AND BOB FOR SHOWING THE WORLD!
