This summer is shaping up to be one of the most exciting summers yet in the City of Philadelphia! There are over 170 different city sponsored day camps being held at various neighborhood playgrounds and recreation centers throughout the City of Philadelphia. In addition, many local youth based agencies and organizations are offering affordable summer programming for children of all ages. To encourage our youth to participate in safe summer fun, PhillyRising and the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Recreation are hosting a Frankford Summer Camp Expo! The Frankford Summer Camp Expo is an opportunity for Frankford families to come out and enjoy a day at their neighborhood recreation center/playground and learn about various summer programming and activities for youth.
Please join us on Saturday, June 18th, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. located at McIlvain Recreation Center (5200 Penn St.) and Saturday, June 25th, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. located at Gambrell Playground (4800 Ditman St.). We are featuring this event on two different dates to accommodate the vast number of youth in the Frankford area. See you there!
