  • Frankford Friends New Building Dedication – Sat, September 29, 1pm – 5pm, Frankford Friends, Orthodox and Penn Sts., Very special event to to dedicate our new building in honor of Margaret (“Madge”) Passmore Trickey! The event will begin with Meeting for Worship in the Meetinghouse and proceed to the new building for refreshments, celebration, and SQUARE DANCING! all ages welcome * no charge * no dancing experience necessary * casual attire

  • Frankford Civic Association Meeting – Thu, October 4, 7pm – 8pm, 2nd floor conference room, Aria Health, 4900 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19124, Alan Butkovitz City Controller will be making a presentation.  The Civic will also address other zoning issues.

  • Historical Society of Frankford program – Tue, October 9, 7:30pm – 9:00pm, 1507 Orthodox St. Take a virtual tour of Frankford in the Society’s newest publication “Historic Homes & Sites of Frankford” through a presentation and exhibition. Learn of our efforts to secure a listing on the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places for this area’s oldest house. Free copies for all.
  • Frankford Garden Club Trip to Nemours Mansion and Gardens – Sat, October 13, 10am – 4pm, Wissinoming Park parking lot on Cheltenham Avenue, 10 AM: meet at Wissinoming Park parking lot on Cheltenham Avenue; 3 PM: leave Nemours Mansion. Tickets are $15.00 per person; Frankford Garden Club members pay $10.00. Ticket price includes transportation and a guided tour of the mansion and grounds. Space is limited.
