Round trip motor coach transportation, time for shopping and browsing at the Rockvale Outlets (10:00 AM to 12:30 PM) Full course lunch buffet at Shady Maple Smorgasbord with additional time for shopping. Bus leaves from parish parking lot on Griscom St at 8:00 AM. Cost $65.00 per person includes bus & lunch). Full Payment due by October 21st, 2012.

  • Martial Arts Workshop: An Introduction to Aikido – Wed, November 28, 5:00pm – 6:15pm, Frankford Branch of the Free Library, 4634 Frankford Avenue, Aikido is an ancient Japanese martial art, or Budo, that embodies fluid, spherical rotational movements. Participants will learn basic techniques and see demonstrations of aikido in action. The workshop is free and all ages are welcome. Adults and parents or guardians of minors must sign a waiver to participate in the exercises. Waivers will be available in the library. Those without signed waivers may watch the workshop but may not participate. Registration is recommended in person, by phone (215-685-1473) or email baxterb@freelibrary.org. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Frankford Library. The Friends will be on hand to provide information on joining and supporting the library.
