  • HIV and Hepatitis C Testing – Sun, April 27, 11am – 4pm, St. Mark’s Church, 4442 Frankford Avenue – Philly Faith in Action was brings the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Drexel University with their mobile medical center to St Marks for rapid HIV and hepatitis C testing, counseling and follow up care. They will be here the 2nd Saturday of every month.

  • Factory on Focus – Philadelphia Museum of Art – Wednesday, May 21, 2014, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Benjamin Franklin Parkway – Philadelphia Museum of Art will focus on the craft of Philadelphia Wooden Boat Factory’s teenage Apprentices. Engage with apprentices in interactive boatbuilding activities. Talk with Factory One Design architect Antonio Dias and hear his thoughts on how boats inspire. See one of the completed Factory One Designs in the Grand Stair Hall, and seek out the Thomas Eakins painting featuring the direct descendant to our very own boat. Open to STAMP Pass students beginning at 3:30pm. Evening activities begin with a short program at 5:30pm.

Using personal viewpoints, they draw attention to small moments, ambiguous settings, and underlying beauty that might be overlooked by the casual viewer.
