There were no big issues on the agenda at the Frankford Civic Association meeting on April 7th. The meeting was taken up with past issues and discussing future events on the calendar which lead to a rare discussion about race in Frankford. Several people reflected on their experiences in the past in Frankford and Philadelphia.
Father Jon Clodfelter offered to have a meeting on the subject at St. Marks to go into depth on the issue and everyone agreed that it would be a good opportunity to have an exchange of ideas. That meeting is now scheduled for April 21 at 7 PM at St. Marks.
Other upcoming events are:
- Mayfair Community Day where the 15th District will be holding forth with free hot dogs, chips and sodas at the intersection of Cottman and Frankford Avenue. It runs from Noon to 3 PM.
- 15th District PSA1 meeting will be held at Aria Hospital on April 28th at 7 PM.
- The next Frankford Civic meeting will be held on May 5th at St. Marks at 7 PM.
