Among the list of violent incidents this weekend, this one for Frankford is included.  From KYW1060.com:

A 30-year-old was stabbed near Margaret Street and Frankford Avenue around 11:00pm Saturday night.

A woman was hit by a red dump truck Thursday morning at Cheltenham and Bustleton and died. 

A 58-year-old woman was fatally struck by the operator of an industrial truck that drove off yesterday morning in Frankford, and authorities said the driver might not have known he’d hit someone.

“With a truck that large, it’s possible the driver did not know,” said Sgt. Albert Gramlich of the Accident Investigation District.

Witnesses told police an industrial truck, possibly with a red cab and blue trash receptacle on the back, struck the woman, who was standing on the southwest corner of Bustleton and Cheltenham Avenues, about 9:30 a.m., Gramlich said.

From philly.com, for an incident on Monday:

Shortly after 3:30 p.m., police responded to a report of gunfire on the 3700 block of Frankford Ave. and found the victim with a gunshot wound to the head.

Muliek Brown, 19, of 5100 Penn St., also in Frankford, was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he died at 9:24 that night.

Police are still investigating to determine possible suspects and a motive.

The location of the crime is incorrectly, again, identified as Frankford.  Read the entire story here.

The story on NBC10.com today of the shooting of a man at the Winning Edge car wash in the 3700 block of Frankford Aveney noted that it was in Frankford.  It has been fruitless to email them when they make this kind of error so I will just post it here.  No, it’s not in Frankford.  It makes no difference to NBC10 but it does to us.

It does make me wonder how good their reporting of other stories can be when they can’t get these simple things right.

A man was shot at a car wash in the Frankford section of Philadelphia, police said.

It happened around 3:35 p.m. Monday at the Winning Edge Carwash on the 3700 block of Frankford Avenue, police said.

The man was shot in the head and taken to Temple Hospital, officials said. He was listed in critical condition.

Police said they are looking for a gray car that fled the scene.

The incident took place Friday night April 1th.  From Philly.com:

Police found the first victim at 8 p.m. Friday behind a property in the 4800 block of Tackawanna Street in the Frankford section, and he was pronounced dead of gunshot wounds to the chest at 9:34 p.m. at Temple University Hospital, Sgt. William Gallagher said. The identity of the victim, who lived near 30th and Dauphin Streets, was withheld pending notification of his family.
