I’ve updated the crime map page to include the period 4/26 to 5/10/2009. Comparing the same period to last year it looks like this:
2008 | 2009 | |
Homicide | 0 | 0 |
Rape | 1 | 0 |
robbery | 18 | 12 |
ag assault | 8 | 9 |
Theft | 36 | 29 |
burglary | 27 | 14 |
90 | 64 | |
guns | 8 | 10 |
knives | 0 | 1 |
other | 6 | 4 |
14 | 15 |
Robbery is down. Theft is down. Crimes with guns are up. After I get a few more weeks of these numbers we’ll take a look at the cumulative score.
On the other hand you have this from 6abc.com:
FRANKFORD – May 13, 2009 (WPVI) — Philadelphia police are searching for four gunmen who walked up to a house in the Frankford section of the city and sprayed it with bullets.
It happened about 2:45 Wednesday morning in the 5200 block of Hawthorne Street.
Not far from the other incident on Dyre Street a few weeks ago.
Also not very far from where that gentleman wants to build 16 new housing units.
