Frankford Library Fall Programming

Good morning all, thanks for bearing with me during this delayed transition. We happily welcomed a new children’s librarian to the team and are looking forward to all the great programming and outreach to come. See Fall Programming for Frankford Library below.

School Age

Preschool Storytime
Every 1st Tuesday of the month at 11:00 a.m.

PJ Storytime
Ages 3-6 (older and younger siblings are welcome)
Bring your stuffed animals or blanket and listen to a book before bed
Every 1st Wednesday of the month at 6p-6:45p.
Oct 2,9,16,30, Nov 6,13,20, Dec 4,11,18

Saturday Morning Cartoon Storytime and Movie with Morris Monster
Ages 3-6 (older and younger siblings are welcome).
Enjoy silly stories and cereal before getting your Saturday started.
Select Saturdays. Starting at 11am.

Teen Third Thursdays

CITY SELECTS FRANKFORD HIGH TO HOST NATION’S FIRST HIGH SCHOOL SOLAR PROGRAM

School District of Philadelphia Superintendent Dr. William Hite, and PECO Vice President and General Counsel Tony Gay joined the Philadelphia Energy Authority (PEA) to announce the selection of Frankford High School as the site for the nation’s first Solar Energy Program of Study.

“The Philadelphia Energy Campaign is on track to create 10,000 jobs by 2026 and the graduates from the new Solar Program will be poised to step into those new positions,” Council President Darrell L. Clarke (5th District) said.

“I am thrilled that Frankford High School is on track to be the first high school in the nation to offer a Solar Energy program of study,” added Dr. Michael Calderone, principal of Frankford High School. This will give my students the option to continue their studies in solar and other renewable energies at the college level or jump right into a career with continued opportunities for advancement.”

Free Workshop!

This free workshop is for middle school girls, grades 6-8.  The class is a brief introduction to how websites work, how they are built, and how to become a person who builds websites.
