At the Frankford NAC zoning meeting held on March 14th, all cases were continued.

5451 Akron Street – Variance for a hair salon on the 1st floor with a single family dwelling on the 2nd – Continued. The tenant was present; however, the owner did not show.

Frankford NAC Zoning Meeting Coming Up February 14th

The Frankford NAC zoning group will meet on February 14th at 7 PM at Second Baptist Church, 1801 Meadow Street.  The following cases will be on the agenda:

4500-14 Frankford Avenue – Clinic has to come back to us. They were opposed by us at the last meeting because they misrepresented themselves by putting out notices indicating they were doing a third-floor addition to be used as an extension of their mental health services, then came to the meeting and presented something else. However, ZBA said they had to come back to us.

Frankford NAC Zoning Meetings

At the Frankford NAC zoning meeting on December 13th, the group voted to not support the request for:

The board opposed the application because of the misrepresentation of the plans for the project. Resident notifications indicated expansion of their behavioral health services then flipped it when they met with the zoning board and indicated it was for the expansion of their dental services.

At the meeting on January 10th, the application for:

1625 Fillmore Street – SPECIAL EXCEPTION FOR ROOMING HOUSE FOR MAXIMUM THREE (3) UNITS FOR MAXIMUM SIX (6) OCCUPANTS (GROUP LIVING). SOME OCCUPANTS MAY UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF COURT SYSTEM. ALL OCCUPANTS ARE CAPABLE OF SELF PRESERVATION AND SELF SUSTAINING IN AN EXISTING STRUCTURE.

The board voted not to support the application due to community opposition.  Residents came out in full force.
