Crime in Frankford

I missed this story on the local news.  A guy coming home from work gets shot after cashing his paycheck.  The criminal probably spotted him at the check cashing place on Pratt Street.  His mother may have saved his life.

Jessie Williams said she did not believe what she was seeing – a man pointing a gun at her son on Friday.

“He was saying, ‘I’m going to shoot you in the head,'” Williams said. “I was trying to grab my son, pull him in the house,” she said.

The man and her son struggled. Williams jumped into the fray but was unable to keep the man from firing his weapon, she said.”I heard two shots,” she said. “He shot my son in the chest.”
