At the end of a warm Summer day young skater, Dave, powers his scooter around Whitehall Skate Park. The skate park is a well-loved Frankford institution. You can see young people in action at the park most days.

Don, nearly 60, joined his father cleaning windows along Frankford Avenue at sixteen years old. After 43 years washing windows he now walks along the Avenue seeking work from shop owners, many who use corporate services that decimated his client base. Companies supply chemicals and tools but not the labor and instead of hiring a cleaner, like Don, shop owners provide the labor themselves. A good day for Don could mean five shop fronts. Many days he struggles to secure as many.
