We regret to report the sudden passing of Thelma Young, board member of the Frankford Civic Association and long time Frankford activist. She was ever present at the Civic meetings, lending her wit and charm to the proceedings. It will not be the same without her.
Thelma’s arrangements are as follows:
Viewing is Friday, Nov. 19, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at St. Joachim’s Church, 1500 block of Church Street in Frankford.
Mass follows at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow Mass at Fairview Cemetery , Twining Road , Willow Grove , Pa.
That sucks. It’s always sad that a neighborhood this large barely has any residents taking up the civic charge. It’s always admirable to see people stand up to help out.
