John Buffington says Frankford Y sheriff sale delayed till December
In the ongoing saga of the New Frankford Community Y, I received this via email from John Buffington:
As of this afternoon, the Sheriff’s office reports that the sale is postponed until December. This is GOOD news, as it gives those of us who care about the place, who, I believe, are legion, time to talk to each other about what needs to happen. Equal Partners In Change
Last Thursday’s EPIC meeting was great. Besides the usual collection of interesting presentations, Cesar Viveros spoke to the group about the Mural Arts program project in Frankford. The first meeting of Imagining Frankford will be Wednesday night, October 5th, at Denby’s Sweet Sensations, 4278 Frankford Avenue. Come out and find out how you can become a part of this historic project.
Mike Rice and Dwight Leevy spoke at length about the history and workings of the EPIC (Equal Partners In Change) program. I have to admit I did not understand much about this process until these guys enlightened me. Here is a bit of what the EPIC is about. To participate, you just come to the next meeting which is on October 27th.
