Lorenzo Della Valle, who operated the barber shop on Frankford Avenue near Harrison for 54 years, passed away this week. A light has gone out in Frankford.
There will be a viewing at GALZERANO FUNERAL HOME, 9304 OLD Bustleton Ave. (below Welsh Rd.) on Thursday January 29th from 6 to 8 PM and Friday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. There will be a funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Joachim Church at Church and Griscom Sts.

It was big news in Philadelphia because the mayor at the time, Richardson Dilworth, was on board. Lorenzo was coming to America with his father.
