How you move
How you learn to impress.

REALITY 101
You woke me up from a sound sleep.
You gave me strength when I was weak.
You pulled back the curtains so I can see.
Now I’m back in this place they call reality.
You gave me hope when my world was dark.
You gave me love right from the start.
You gave me strength in times of sorrow.
You gave me strength for all my tomorrows.
Now I know what it means to struggle, turn your head in times of trouble.
You woke me up so I can see.
Now I’m thriving in this world they call reality.

When your world seems like it’s shutting down and you think you have nowhere to turn,
Go to the place they call the Valley of Dreams.
Whatever the cause, whatever the reason,
Stress, burnout, depression, or anxiety.
Go to the place they call the Valley of Dreams.
Where the trees are all clustered and they make wonderful shade,
In that place, they call the Valley of Dreams.
Flowers so beautiful look like they were handmade.
Grass the color of emerald green,
Ducks floating down a shallow stream,
In that place, they call the Valley of Dreams.
But if you can’t make it there today, just close your eyes, take a deep breath and let your mind take you away,
To that place, they call the Valley of Dreams.

She’s more than just a woman,
who wandered into my life.
She’s more than just a woman,
that I spoke to more than twice.
She’s the woman who fights back the tears as I hold her through the night.
It’s more than just anguish.
It’s more than just the pain.
When she looks into the mirror and sees she’s not the same.
It’s like looking in muddy water but now it’s crystal clear.
God gave her the strength to make it, this is why she is still here.
When you talk about surviving, this is one thing that you can say,
she has the strength to make it, each an every day.
When she looks into the mirror – it’s more than just a woman.
“IT’S A SURVIVOR” Is what she sees.

Love is a multifaceted word.
The love of your mother,
The love of your life,
The love of the kids when they don’t act nice.
The love of your dog,
The love of your cat,
The love of the seasons as they turn.
The love of the snow when it doesn’t make a sound,
The love of the rain as it hits the ground,
The love of loved ones you haven’t seen,
The love of the ocean,
The love of the sky,
The love of old memories that still make you cry.
The love of everything we can go on and on,
