LIFE GOES ON

LIFE GOES ON

You taught me to love again:
From the rumbling torture of my heart;
In the depth of pain in my wounded soul,
With nothing left but solitude and regret.

Thinking that I would never love again.
Like the beginning and the end,
Somewhere in between you came in as a friend,
And you taught me to love again.

I no longer struggle from morning until night,
You came along and showed me the light.
No more anguish, no more pain,
You told me that life goes on;
To pick up my head and not be a shame.

You taught me to love again.

A SPLINTER OF HOPE

A SPLINTER OF HOPE

On dark days, hope may be hard to find,
But if you look between the lines you’ll find a splinter of hope,
Even though it may be hard to find.

Hope is what keeps the wheels turning,
Hope is what keeps a wood fire burning,
Hope is what a soldier needs when he tries to find his way,
So he won’t get lost in sympathy.

Sympathy will bring you to your knees,
Hope will lift you higher so you can see,
Beyond the stars, beyond the clouds, beyond eternity.

Hope will give you what you need when you’re fighting for what you believe.

NOT ONCE BUT TWICE

NOT ONCE BUT TWICE

You came along at the right time, my heart is beating so.
Is there something you must tell me, is there something I should know?
As I look into the valley, and watch the sun as it glows.
There’s something in your eyes that tells me, that there’s something I should know.

Could this be the reason, I’m in Echo Valley where I hear the words more than once.
Because if you tell me that you love me, I’ll hear the words more than once.
That’s why they call it Echo Valley, I can still hear the beating of my heart.
So if you came to tell me that you love me, I’ll hear it more than once.

EARLY MORNING BREEZE

EARLY MORNING BREEZE

Early in the morning when I have nothing to do,
Out of nowhere this breeze blows through,
And then I stop and l think of you.

I haven’t seen you in over a year.
But this feeling I have keeps you near.
I don’t understand, we never argue, we never had a fight.
But the next thing I know you were out of my sight.

I’m totally confused this can’t be right,
When I think of all the memories everything seems to be all right,
We didn’t argue, we didn’t fight.

So early in the morning when I have nothing to do,
And that breeze just keeps pushing through,
I stopped and I wonder what happened to you.

It’s been over a year so I conclude,
You must have found it was time to move on.
But that doesn’t stop that breeze from blowing through.

This only happens when I have nothing to do
and in my mind I can only think of you.
That early morning breeze just keeps pushing through.

To Be Free

To be free

If, I could stand on a mountain, and I can see as far as I can see.
If, I could swim in the ocean, and have the waves rush over me.
If, at night I could hear the wolf howling, as it echoes through the trees.
If, I could run through the forest, and have the leaves crushed under my feet.
If, there’s nothing holding me, then this – must be what it feels like – to be free.
