New Original Drama Coming to Frankford

It would not be the Christmas season without the Second Baptist drama ministry offering a new original production.  This year its on December 9th and 10th and titled “Everybody Needs Jesus”.

Second Baptist always does a great job with these shows and this year will be no exception.  The music is always exceptional.  The group is rehearsing tirelessly to make sure their performance will please your family.

Grand Army Of The Republic Museum & Library Offers Frankford Residents Historical Context

It’s arguably the most inconspicuous building on Griscom Street. The building is the former home of Dr. John Ruan, a prominent doctor in Frankford in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Don’t Let Your Gifts End Up Under Someone Else’s Tree

Christmas is time for shopping and it should not be a surprise that there are some people who intend to shop in your house for their gifts.  They know you will be out at the stores spending money and bringing lots of good stuff home that they will enjoy.  Use some common sense and you will get to keep your stuff.

Read the tip sheet below that the police have been distributing and keep your holiday happy.  It all sound so simple but burglars will tell you that most of the time they get into your house very easily and remember to lock the doors on your car.

Frankford Friends School Feathers Its NEST

Students at Frankford Friends School know what it means to be innovative, especially in the subjects of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

These areas of study, coined as STEM, are the new focuses of Frankford Friends’ proposed NEST center, an area on the school’s campus that will allow students to experiment with these subjects through a Media Studio, an Innovation Workshop and a Nature Learning Lab.

The NEST is that new facility that looks like a garden on the corner of Griscom and Orthodox Streets.  That, plus the former parsonage building of the Central United Methodist Church, are what’s happening.
