I guess you can call this crime deterance. I’m sure the criminals are well aware of it. At the corner of Arrott and Griscom Streets on the corner by the parking lot is a video surveillance camera. You can see the blue light flash periodically. Hopefully somebody is on the other end watching.
I spoke to a local business man who said that the police have been making a difference with their new policy of engagement. He has seen it all over the years.
I noticed this on youtube a few months ago but now with the kids getting out of school and the summer weather upon us, you might enjoy this look back. It highlights Dan Savage a bit but the stars of the show are the kids.
We have been doing a little Frankford history every week or so. When I found this video on Youtube, it reminded me that we see history every day. So for those who have not seen this remarkable guy do his thing, here he is.
You certainly could not complain about the weather last Saturday. It brought out a diverse crowd of codial folks looking for a good time. We did not have a lot of time to stay but we did video for about a half hour just as things were getting rolling. This is a rough cut but there is no sense in waiting till it’s perfect. We would like to add some video of the later musical performances. If you have any video (or stills) you would like to contribute, please contact us.
I have been trolling through Youtube setting things up so that we can post our video of the Frankford Festival. While I was at it, I tried to find other Frankford related videos that we might highlight. This one is a slide show with music and the quality is very nice. Wednesday is our history day so here it is, a tribute to the Frankford Yellow Jackets.
