National Pride

NATIONAL PRIDE

It’s that time of the year so stand up and cheer and focus on the red white and blue.

Little boys playing with toys and little girls all dressed up with all kind of designs and showing their national pride.

So at the end of the day, we will display a beautiful Illumination in the sky and remember our national pride.

So we can’t let this day slip by without celebrating the 4th of July.

Lead The Way

Lead The Way

When you’re a father, don’t shy away.

Stand in the light so everyone can see,
What it takes to be a father and Lead the Way.

With strength and fairness and something to say,
Be the strength and the backbone for your family everyday.

Because a father is the one person we look up to – to show us the way.
Because one day will be Father’s and this is what we’ll say,
We learned from our father who showed us the way.

HAPPY FATHER’S
DAY

Everyday in Frankford

From Chris Baker Evens.  See more of his work at this link.

Ms Lay of Douleur Boutique poses with a hand-decorated Mothers Day wine glass at the Day Before Mothers Day Flower Sale, held at the Frankford Pause park on Paul St. Ms Lay can be found hosting her stall in front of the Citizens Bank on Frankford Avenue. The Mothers Day event featured a range of craft stalls, and included the Friends of Overington Park, the Frankford Flower Club and live music.

This is the last installment of Everyday in Frankford.  Chris and his family are relocating to another neighborhood in the city.  His positive view of Frankford has been welcome and we wish him and his family well.

Gone But Not Forgotten

Gone But Not Forgotten

When I stop and think about the old days and the love we used to share.

Easter Bunny’s, Santa Claus, and playing in the Square.

Grandma sitting in that old rocking chair, mother telling all the kids they must learn to share.

Oh yes, I remember the old days and the love we used to share,

And remembering that Mother’s Day is everyday even though you’re not here.
