  • Spring Into Your Park
    When-Sat, Apr 26, 10am – 1pm
    Where-Overington park
    Description-On April 26th Overington park will join over 60 parks around the city for PHS, “Spring Into Your Park” event. Our third annual event. Last year we had 60 volunteers help make the park a better place. We will be working in the park from 10 to 1, Planting new beds along the wall running up Orthodox St., mulching trees and beds, and cleaning up our park. There will be free tee shirts for those who help! Please encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the park that day.
  • Classical Concert celebrating the 175th Anniversary of Frankford Friends School

    Description-Classical Concert celebrating the 175th Anniversary of Frankford Friends School at St. Mark’s Church to benefit Frankford Friends School new Middle School Building Sunday, April 27, 2008 at 3 pm St. Mark’s Church 4442 Frankford Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19124 Concert with Mr. and Mrs. Farley, organ and soprano and Steven Heitzer, trumpeter Mr. and Mrs. Farley retired from FFS with well over 70 years combined service to FFS and the Frankford community. They also well know for their classical music talents by being involved with several Frankford churches. Calling all Mothers!  Come to the Neighborhood Parenting Program to celebrate Mother’s Day with your family and other moms!  Mother’s Day is a day to pay tribute to you for everything you’ve done!  This event will offer crafts, food and everything will be provided FREE. What better way to celebrate!

             11:00 am- 12:30pm

 

 

The Neighborhood Parenting Program, a part of Frankford Group Ministry, provides parenting classes, trips and activities for parents and their children age 12 and under.

Date/Time: Beginning Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

                             5:30 PM- 7:30 PM

 

Give yourself a chance to become a better parent and it will change your (and your child’s) life! This 5-week class will focus on effective discipline, building your child’s self-esteem, coping with parental anger and how we nurture ourselves and our children. A light dinner will be served. Free on-site child care available.
