Demolition began at Church Street and Aramingo Avenue for the long awaited Royal Farms. Project should be complete sometime in 2017.
Residents at the Frankford NAC zoning meeting on June 9th voted to oppose the conversion of the property at 5114 Castor Avenue to a triplex citing the Northwood deed restriction. The property goes before the Northwood Civic Association at their meeting on June 21st.
4623 Mulberry – Was discontinued. Meaning they failed to show up three times so, they have to go through the process all over again as we are not going to see them.
5520 Harbison- Continued because they need residents to vote and they need to give us a clearer picture of what they plan to do with the property.
Pete Specos, President of the Frankford Civic Association, Treasurer of the 15th Police Distric PDAC and invaluable member of Keep the Faith in Frankford, is still recovering from a recent illness but wanted to send his thanks to all those who have reached out to him during this time. Special thanks to Danny Savage for the Edible Arrangements.
His video is below. Crank up the volume to hear him better.
I have to admit, I never thought I would be into botany in any serious way but David Hewitt can turn you around on that issue. He knows Frankford and likes to walk around our open spaces to see what lies ahead. I took two tours with him through the cemeteries and he has a way of showing you things you have been seeing but never really seen. Well worth a trip to the HSF this month.
