SHADOW OF DESPAIR

SHADOW OF DESPAIR

It’s not prison walls that are holding me, it’s heartbreak and misery.

Let my heart journey, let my heart be free, release me from this misery.

Heartbreak coming down like rain, I can no longer take this pain, my heart is withering, it used to be strong.

Then one day you came along, playing your music, and I danced to your song.

Now you tell my heart to move on, covered with grief, and shame, like a tree in the shadows of despair.

You left my heart standing there, all alone with no one to care, In the shadow of despair.

ONE SIDE OF THE STORY

ONE SIDE OF THE STORY

Take a look around and you will see, people have been separated by rivers, valleys, and streams.
This doesn’t mean we have nothing in common, it seems to me it’s all about politics and drama.
Because when you can’t see the truth, we have nothing in common.
When people in high places tell you lies, it’s not about you, it’s what they have to hide.
Because people in high places know how to dance around the truth, then point their finger and say it’s all about you.
So, if you march for the wrong reason, in this country they call that treason.
So, if you want to walk around with one side of the story, bury your head in the sand, then we’ll never understand the other side of the story.
