Frankford NAC Zoning Meets April 14th

1631 Haworth Street- Property owner is seeking a variance to have a place of worship on the first and keeping the second floor as a rental unit.
4623 Mulberry Street- Is seeking a variance to legalize a triplex already in existence..However, there are several code violations on it. No renters license, windows and doors are in need of repair.

The Bridge will also make a presentation on their request to add capacity to their facility on Adams Avenue.

No Opposition to 5003 Penn Street

At the NAC zoning meeting on February 4th, the representative of the owner of 5003 Penn Street presented the plan for its use as a four family dwelling with an additional dwelling unit to be converted from an existing separate garage.

There were no residents present who were eligible to vote according to L&I – ZBA rules, so the NAC will notify the ZBA of the fact that there is no community opposition.

The next NAC zoning meeting is scheduled for March 10th at 7 PM at the Second Baptist Church of Frankford at 1801 Meadow Street.

Frankford NAC Zoning Meeting

The zoning meeting of the Frankford NAC on January 14th had only three cases to discuss.

5003 N PENN ST – PERMIT FOR THE MULTI-FAMILY HOUSEHOLD LIVING IN AN EXISTING STRUCTURE AND CONVERSION OF GARAGE TO A ONE (1) APARTMENT (TOTAL 5 DWELLING UNITS). – The case was continued because the applicant did not bring plans for the interior of the building and no plan at all for the garage conversion.

1827 KINSEY ST – PERMIT FOR INCREASE IN THE TOTAL NUMBER OF DWELLING UNITS FROM THREE (3) FAMILY DWELLING TO FIVE (5) FAMILY DWELLING (MULTI-FAMILY) IN AN EXISTING STRUCTURE. – The applicant was well prepared and there was one local resident who voted in favor.

5335 Large Street – PERMIT FOR A TWO (2) FAMILY DWELLING IN AN EXISTING STRUCTURE. –   The applicant was well prepared but there were no interested local residents to vote.  When there is noone present to vote a letter is sent to the ZBA indicating that there is no opposition.

The next Frankford NAC zoning meeting will be held on February 11th at 7 PM at 2nd Baptist Church at 1801 Meadow Street.

Frankford NAC December Zoning Meeting

At the NAC meeting on December on December 10th, the issues were as follows:

5335 Large Street- PERMIT FOR A TWO (2) FAMILY DWELLING IN AN EXISTING STRUCTURE. Continued. Property owner asked to have more time to prepare.

5103 Duffield Street-PERMIT FOR THE LEGALIZATION OF A REAR ADDITION ON AN EXISTING ATTACHED STRUCTURE FOR USE AS A SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING. SIZE AND LOCATION AS PER PLANS. NO SIGNS ON THIS APPLICATION. Case dismissed.

4518 Hedge Street-PERMIT FOR THE LEGALIZATION OF A REAR ADDITION ON AN EXISTING ATTACHED STRUCTURE FOR USE AS A SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING. SIZE AND LOCATION AS PER PLANS. NO SIGNS ON THIS APPLICATION.  2 opposing votes. The property owner received damage done by the addition put onto the back of the house. They voted to oppose. Owner had a relative build the addition without proper permits.
