Simplicity

Sunday Poem by Alice Henry

Simplicity

Where did simplicity go?
Does anyone really Know?
It always has been a friend of mine.
Through life’s shower or shine.

As each day in body you arise,
Just wipe the sleep from your spiritual eyes
Ask yourself:
“Today which molehill will I mountainclimb”?

For like molehills, Simplicity requires much time.
Simplicity is there for the taking.
It soothes many a mind that’s aching.

Simplicity can not be bought or sold
For it’s value surpasses any gold.
Some search for it their whole life thru
Never knowing it can only be found within you.

Man has invented many time-saving devices.
Why then Man is there such a
“Simplicity crisis”?

Philly Cup Coming to Whitehall

Another major sporting event is coming to Whitehall at the Carmella Skate Park.  On August 17th, the 3rd event in the Jam 2013 series will be held at Whitehall.  Hundreds of people pass by that park at Torresdale and Wakeling every day, never realizing that those kids skating around in there are serious.  We’ll be doing a followup on the big day of this event.

I’ll be the first one to tell you I don’t know much about this sport except that these kids are all over the place on these skate boards and they do impossible things with them.  If you have never been to Whitehall, take a look at the video.
