I attended the zoning hearing on Tuesday representing the Frankford Civic for the application of the owner of 4325-27 Frankford Avenue to convert the second floor to 13 rooming units. At our last meeting the board had voted to oppose this use of the property. The application was denied.
The Frankford CDC will be hosting a presentation on proposed changes to the zoning code on Thursday, September 15th at 6:30 P.M. This is one of those boring sounding issues that has a tremendous impact on life in the city. It will potentially change everything. Come and and hear what is going on.
From one of our tipsters in Bridesburg in reference to the proposed Aramingo Rail Transfer Waste Terminal :
GREAT NEWS!!!!!! ART has just abandoned their permit to the zoning board! What that means is that they have turned in the zoning permit and are no longer planning to build a trash transfer station on Church Street. Alan spoke to John Ryan himself and we have an actual copy of the letter that was sent to the zoning board. Thank you all for your support. It has been a tough fight, but great to see what we can do together as a community.
