MADE MY DAY

Woke up this morning I was feeling fine, haven’t heard from you so I thought I’d give you a call.
Last time I saw you – you looked like a goddess that stepped out of a dream, fingernails polished super excited Eagle Midnight Green.
And that hat you were wearing tilted to one side – made you look mysterious, like you were trying to hide.
I’m not sure if I told you how good you looked that day.
I just want to call and tell you what I thought about that evening that we shared together – in a friendly awkward way.
If nothing else, it gets me ecstatic and gets me through the day.
Then I stop and think about those fingernails, “Eagle Midnight Green.”

PULL ME THROUGH

I need something I really do – I think I need your Love to pull me through.
If you could place the stars in the sky, and change the river at high tide, I know you’re the one that can pull me through.
I don’t need an alibi I just need your love as a guide. So, I will know which way to go. I just need you – to pull me through.
When days are dark and I don’t know what to do, I need your Love to pull me through,
There are times when I get confused that’s why I need your Love to pull me through.
I may struggle from day to day, that’s why I need your Love, to show me the way – at the end of the day, I need your Love – to pull me through.
I don’t need no one – but you to turn me around – and pull me through.

A BRAND NEW YOU

I’ve seen the red. I’ve seen your heart; I’ve seen the dreams that have fell apart.
I see the tears that follow you, but you’re too strong to let those tears catch up to you.
You’re a winner right from the start, you never let this stress pull you apart.
We have seen you fight for what is right, we have seen you glow with pure delight,
We have seen the red we have seen your heart. Now it’s time to fight – for a brand new you.
Sometimes down but never out, this is what life is all about.
It’s never too late – to make a brand new you.

IT TAKES TIME

A handful of seeds meticulously placed on the ground, to twist and turn its way into the rich earthly soil, just remember it takes time.

So, chase away those birds so they won’t eat all that they can see. Just remember it takes time, for the seeds to take root, and to be able to hold on to a forever changing world and develop at a special day and time – Just remember it takes time.

When the moon, stars, and sun stand in line hovering from on high, looking down on the seeds from up above, so they can grow with the help of mother nature love. It all takes time.

When the wind tries to blow the seeds away, they are deeply embedded and they are here to stay. It takes time.

Then the rains will come and try to wash the seeds away. But, like I said they’re deeply rooted, and they’re here to stay. Because it takes time.

But when a beautiful flower opens its petals to reach for the sky, thirsting for sun and water so it can survive, and showing its true beauty as the days go by – plus that sweet aroma that catches you by surprise every time that you pass by. Then you turn and smile with a glow in your eye and say – if you truly want to see the beauty of a flower come alive – just remember, it takes time.
